Patient Review

I first visited Britten Dental when Mr Britten (Senior) was practicing (many years ago). Later the practice transferred to his son. Under his son, I continued getting annual teeth cleaning. One day I had tooth pain and Dr Britten said he suspected I had a crack on my molar. At age 40, I had never had even a cavity, so any major dental work was scary to me. I did not want to have my tooth drilled out to make a repair when the crack could not be verified by xray. I went for a second opinion, and that dentist said he could not locate the crack, and said my teeth were fine. To break the tie, I went to a third dentist and he also took xrays and said my teeth look fine. However, he recommended invisalign to correct my bite. He thought my bite was slightly off, causing my pain. I did two years of invisalign treatment to correct my bite (which was near perfect to begin with, but moving the teeth around caused a lot of other misalignments). Part of having invisalign is that you will get random teeth pain as the teeth are moved. It's now three years later, I've relocated to a different country (Singapore), and I started having teeth pain again, but this time no invisalign to blame it on. My new dentist like the rest, took xrays and saw no issue. So I went to a specialist who used light tests, cold tests, and a microscrope. He definitively confirmed my tooth had a crack in it. Both horizontally as well as vertically. All of this just to say, Dr Britten was the only dentist out of the next 4 dentists who looked at my teeth who correctly identified my problem, and if I had taken his advice 3 years ago, I might not need a root canal and crown (assuming the vertical crack isn't too deep and the tooth can be saved). I no longer live in Land O Lakes, but I can highly recommend this dental office to anyone in the area.
